1000 year Woods

Hello all. I wanted to convey a peaceful, out of the way, story book setting. A place where a never before seen creature calls home and is untouched by the world around them.

Rendered in 3D Max/Vray, with retouching in photoshop. The scene is animated, but is taking 30 hours a frame. (EEK!) Its mainly due to the volume lighting, and I'll have to break up the image in various passes. I am cleaning the scene up as I write and hope to have the animation times reduced by the end of the month.

Thanks for looking and critiques are always helpful ( I think I have been staring at this image FAR too long and likely missing something).
The earth layers are 25k each, so I could get real close, if I needed to.
